Wedding reportage

While making a reportage, I try to be very discreet. I do not arrange each picture – I just register
what is happening around me without any interference. Thanks to that, the Heroes of the Day
and their Guests very quickly learn to trust me, they get used to my presence and in effect – stop
noticing me. Then they are at ease, spontaneous and take the very best of every moment. And me –
I get natural, i.e. exceptional, pictures.

My work is mainly predicting. I aim to be a fraction of a second quicker than reality. This glimpse
of time lets me make a decision what part of the scene to capture, with what angle and focus depth.
I have this little bit of time to decide how to adjust my position to the light, people, background and
finally – when to press the shutter. Beauty is hidden everywhere, very often in the most ordinary
and simple situations – we just need to find it…
